Rock City

Rock City

One of the great things about living near Chattanooga, Tennessee, is the number of great outdoors activities. Now that my POTS is somewhat under control- eight pills a day later- I’m trying to get back into the habit of spending time outdoors. Today, my mom and I took a trip to Rock City. I haven’t been in years, so it was a nice change of pace. Flowers were blooming, the sun was shining, and someone had let a boa constrictor loose in the Wild Bird Sanctuary. After wrangling an employee named Austin to gather up the snake before it could eat the bird it was eyeing, we walked through the park, enjoying bonding time and nature. At the end of the day, we got to sample some local wines, and I bought a muscadine wine slushie. All in all, a great day- and totally worth the dizziness that came from walking in the sun for a few hours.
